I Will, I Am, I Have.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
At the core of The Challenge Foundation’s mission is our unique approach to empower students through equitable access to education and experiential learning which allows Challenge scholars to pursue their goals and chart their own course.
As a community we:
- Strive to create an environment where all are comfortable as their authentic selves and celebrated for their differences, including race, socioeconomic status, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, and other identities.
- Recognize that talent is more equally distributed than opportunity and acknowledge that equal access to opportunity is limited by both seen and unseen barriers.
- Affirm the individuality and intersectionality of each scholar and family, and value that their experience shapes who they are.
- Commit to partnering with Challenge scholars and families, as well as the schools and community organizations we work with to elevate, honor, and empower students.
- Engage in continuous learning and growth, as only then can we foster a community of inclusivity with a strong sense of belonging.
